Log in to your Gmail account, click the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "Settings"
from the drop-down menu. You are redirected to your account's Settings page.

Click the "Accounts and Import" link at the top and locate the Send Mail As section.

Click the "edit info" link next to your name and email address to start editing your name.

Click the radio button in front of the blank text box and type your pen name or a fake name in the box.

Click the "Save Changes" button to apply the new settings and use them immediately.
